Our lives are given to us on loan from God. He wants to write His story through our lives. In order for that to happen, we need to keep the right perspective and use our resources accordingly.

When Mary Magdalene watched Jesus die, all of her hope died with Him. Lost, hurt, and grieving, Mary came face to face with the Risen Jesus. In the midst of the chaos and darkness all of us will encounter at one time or another, Jesus is still there calling you by name.

Living the Cross-Life

As we seek to be salt in our community, we need to allow God to stretch our perspective into a larger picture. And as God stretches our understanding and shows us what He is doing, we need to be willing to submit to His guidance. Choosing to follow Christ means we have chosen to live the 'cross-life' (term borrowed from R. Foster's "Celebration of Discipline")

Chewing on Scripture

As we seek to be salt in our community, we need to allow God to stretch our perspective into a larger picture. One of the primary ways God does this is through His gift of the Scripture.
Clinging to Hope

When life seems to spiral out of control, we can continue to cling to hope.

**We had audio difficulties in the beginning and some of the sound appears to have been lost. Here is the opening paragraph - In 1995, a man was hiking in Yellowstone National Park. Tragically, he slipped and fell into a cavern. When he did, several rocks slid and filled the hole where he fell. He was held down by rocks and in the cavern for ten days – until someone heard his cry for help. When he was rescued he was asked, “How in the world did you make it down there for so long without any water or food?” He answered, “I could always look up and see a tiny beam of light shining through the top and it gave me hope.” And he clung to that ray of hope.
