Malachi 2v17 – 3v5 God is Refining

In the time of Malachi, the Jewish nation was loosing touch with God. We as a nation have lost touch with God, much of the church today has lost touch with God. Verse 17 Malachi says, “You have wearied the LORD”, our LORD is patient but His patients will not last for ever. Wake up and listen!

Revelation 3v14-22 The Church At Laodicea

Christ starts his letter stating He is the truth, He only deals in truth. This is to let the people know that what he is about to tell them is the truth. How about you are you ready to here the truth about yourself. We have a picture of the church, and Christ says, “I will vomit you out of My mouth”. Are you lukewarm? Then take counsel and encouragement from Christ.

Malachi 1 and 3 – My Name Shall Be Great

Is missionary work a blessing or a burden to me? How much am I prepared to give for the work of God, we are not talking only financially, there is much more to giving than that. Where is our heart when it comes to giving?

Luke 24v34 The Third Resurrection Appearance

In this third resurrection appearance, we have the words “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!” From this appearance to Simon, we turn our attention to Backsliding. Firstly the steps of the backslider, secondly sorrows of the backslider, thirdly the restoration of the backslider. We can use this to examine our lives and where we are heading.

John 4:24 Worship – In Truth

How should we worship God? We must worship from the heart and in truth. God has told us how we must worship Him. The 4 main elements of worshiping of God are prayer, reading, preaching, singing. Let us see what the Bible has to say about this.

Jesus’ Letter to Ephesus

We are not to think which one of these churches applies to us, but what applies to us from each of these seven churches. This church at Ephesus, had good doctrine and hated evil. They weren’t doing this with the love that they had when they first loved God. Why are we going to church and doing good, is it through love of God, or are we going through the motions? Repent! And do your first works.

Let us overcome the sins of our own hearts. We are promised life if we do.

Christ Speaks to His Churches

This is an overview of the 7 letters to the seven churches.
1. Christ in the midst of the church? The church belongs to Christ.
2. Christ Church is:
1.	Lampstands – the church is to give out light, not to produce its own light.
2.	These were seven real churches.
3.	These churches are representative of the Christian church – relevant for today.
4.	There are continual spiritual lessons.
5.	There is clear structure to these letters.
Are we prepared to examine ourselves as we go through these letters?
