Do Christians Arrogantly Think All Other Religions are Wrong?

This message is the fifth in a series (6 total) based on Dan Kimball's book, They Like Jesus But Not the Church. We have explored emerging generations (mis)perceptions of the church in an attempt to more fully engage the culture around us as followers of Jesus. This message explored ways to engage people from other faiths as we follow Jesus.

Is the church homophobic?

We continue to explore the perceptions of emerging generations towards the church. This Sunday we explore the perception that the church is anti-homosexual. The message discusses why this is an important topic, what the Bible texts say, the pastors personal conclusions, and answers to some common questions.

Is the church male-dominated? Does it oppress women?

This message deals with the perception among emerging generations that the church is male-dominated and oppresses women. I suggest a way forward in dealing with gender issues in the church that includes pastoral, theological and ethical responses. Whether it is comfortable or not, we need to deal with this perception as we seek to share the love of God through Jesus with those around us.
