2010-02-21 Clearing the Conscience

We must take time to be holy. However, is that our attitude as we come together in cooperate worship? Or are we here in order to check off the box that we have accomplished that task for the day. We are here out of duty instead of delight.
We believe that the Lord is the Potter and we are the clay. But we don’t want to take the time to allow the Potter to mold us into a fine piece of pottery that reflects His glory. We are content to just be a piece of pottery that isn’t worth anything. This comes from the mentality that we are just sinners saved by grace. When our mentality should be that we are saints saved by grace in order to reflect beautiful glorious grace of God. He paid a high price for us, but we live as a cheap copy.

The Role of Men and Women in the Church

The roles of men and women are blurred today in the church. The blurred lines are man made not Bibical. Men and women are created equal and have equal abilities. However, the Lord in creation gave each a role to fulfill in order for there to be harmony in the home and in the church.
