Serving A Supernatural God, Part III: The Baptism of the Holy Spirit – God’s Promise

One of the greatest promises God has given us as new covenant believers is that of his Holy Spirit. Although we are born again by the Holy Spirit, who comes to live in our hearts when we receive Christ, the scriptures seem to indicate that there is a greater measure of the Holy Spirit, a baptism/gift/infilling, that is still available to all believers to empower us as witnesses and introduce us to His supernatural gifts (charismata).

How to Live Victoriously, Part II – Understanding Our Nature

The key to experiencing the victorious life that Jesus has provided for us begins with understanding how the battle is fought and won. The more we follow the Spirit, and not our flesh, the more we will experience the victory over sin and temptation that God has provided for us.

2010: Our Year for Growth, Part III: Investing In Our Eternal Future

This earthly life is much shorter than we often realize, and the greatest legacy we can leave is an eternal one. This is done by making God’s priorities of evangelism, giving and serving our priorities. Doing so will enable us to invest our earthly time, resources and energies into eternal things.

2010: Our Year for Growth, Part II: Spiritual Growth

When God saves us and leaves us here on this earth, His plan is for us to grow spiritually through a process the Bible calls sanctification. Believers who see salvation only as a means of gaining access into heaven will miss the abundant life of becoming more like Jesus before we leave this world. This growth requires hard work and sacrifice on our part, all the while understanding that only God can bring the growth.
