  <title>Authority: Flawed and Infallible</title>
<description>We are deeply committed to the infallibility of the Word of God. When Jesus spoke in the synagogue, he acted and spoke as someone in authority. He also acknowledged that there is a very real and personal evil in the world. As disciples of Jesus Christ, we have the authority of Jesus Christ to make others the disciples of Jesus Christ.

  <title>Open the Door</title>
<description>Prayer is not about giving God new information, He already knows everything.
Prayer is not about giving God advice.
Prayer is not for God&#039;s benefit. It is God&#039;s joy that we pray to Him.

Today&#039;s scripture is part of Jesus&#039; sermon on the mount. It repeats the promises that God will answer prayer. How we pray to God will depend upon our relationship with God.

The goal of prayer is to help change us into the image of God.

  <title>Pray With Heart</title>
<description>Do you believe about your joy? That God wants to grant you the desires of your prayer? So, while God wants to grant you every desire in your prayer, he will give you what is good and right in His judgement.

He wants you to be persistent in your prayer and not give up! Yet, when Jesus comes again, will he find anyone with faith in Him left?

  <title>No Ordinary Man</title>
  <description>Scripture: Luke 15:11-32, 18:18-30

It is the highest privilege to serve Christ. Sometimes, however, it can be difficult to serve the Lord. It can be a challenge and often requires sacrifice to be a follower of Jesus Christ.

God challenges us and insists that we push ourselves and reach our full potential.

  <title>The Ministry of Jesus Begins</title>
<description>Jesus reads from the scripture in Isaiah in the synagogue and confirms that the scripture has been fulfilled.

When Jesus went into the wilderness and fasted for 40 days, he was able to focus and concentrate on the spirit and power of God that was already there. So, just as Jesus did, we can also do by &quot;fasting&quot;, by depriving ourselves or removing a distraction in our life that keeps us from experiencing the spirit and power of God that is already and always there with us.

God has something for us to do. The power of the Holy Spirit is within us to accomplish great things.

  <title>Don&#039;t Waste Grace</title>
  <description>Scripture: Isaiah 61:1-11, John 1:6-13

Life is a little like a jigsaw puzzle. Sometimes you need the perspective of Heaven to see how all the pieces fit together. We, as Christians need to look at our life from God&#039;s perspective, from Heaven.

We need to open our eyes to see that things are bigger than our perspective. God has a plan and he knows how to put it together.

Don&#039;t miss grace, because it belongs to you and leads to everlasting joy.

  <title>Prepare and Expect</title>
  <description>Scripture: Isaiah 40:1-5, Mark 1:1-8, 2 Peter 3:8-14

The Glory and Grace of God is everywhere. It will be revealed to you at times and places where you may least expect it. You just need to look for it and recognize it when you see and experience it.</description>

  <title>Keep Awake</title>
  <description>Scripture: Psalm 80:1-19, Mark 13:24-37

You can choose to be joyful, to have hope. You can make a choice to believe, to have hope! Jesus will return again and righteousness will be everywhere.

Jesus is coming someday, but only God knows when...not even Jesus knows when. So keep awake and be ready.

<title>Who Is, Who Was, and Who Is to Come, The Almighty</title>
<description>There is a plan and God is going to bring it to its culmination sometime in the future. Today, it seems that evil is everywhere. But in the midst of this growing evil, God has a plan.

A great victory is coming, but in the meantime, there will be suffering. There is evil in this world that is driven by the devil. But in the end, Jesus will be the ultimate victor.
