Motives Behind Giving

Jesus encourages us to let people see our good works, but to make sure we never do our good works just to be seen. This message discusses the delicate balance of those two points, and also focuses specifically on tithing and giving.

Embracing your Cross

This was a message given after about 8 weeks of teaching on the sermon on the mount. It was a pause of sorts meant to give some very straightforward practical insight in the believers journey to live out the very high standard of holiness that Christ set forth.

Preserving our Saltiness and Light

In Biblical times, salt was a fundamental element needed to preserve food and prevent decay and rotting. Society is decaying morally and spiritually, and we as Christians need to act as "salt" for society to offer preservation. Salt must be applied and absorbed, as does the Word, and without our "saltiness," we would be useless. How can we be "in the world but not of the world"? How do we remain "salty"? Our "light" is one answer to both of those questions and this message addresses those questions, how to be aware of the things that can tempt us to lose our saltiness and become diluted, and how our light can be bright, effective and pure.
